Summary: The debut work of Yoichi Takahashi as one of the winners of the 10th Fresh Jump Award and the original Captain Tsubasa one-shot that lead to the creation of the more well known series. The plot tells the struggle of Taro Tsubasa, the captain of the Nankatsu middle school football team, in his efforts to defeat Shutetsu football team and his goalkeeper Genzo Wakabayashi, something that puzzles Aki Yamazaki, Nankatsu manager, who doesn't understand why Taro is so determined to defeat Genzo.
